Celebrating 22 years in practice!
I am fortunate that the study and practice of natural health is a personal passion/hobby and also my profession. Since I first loved my Human Nutrition course in collage, I have been studying human health. This interest led me to study Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine and graduate in 1996.
Now, having practiced acupuncture and Chinese medicine for over 22 years, I have learned many different styles of Chinese medicine and acupuncture, as well as of variety of natural medicine, and functional medical treatments. There are many tools in the treatment tool box, for treating each patient with unique problems that may require different treatment strategies.
I enjoy combining my knowledge of the ancient arts of Acupuncture, Chinese and Western Herbology, massage therapy, trigger point therapy, and Natural Foods with the technologically advanced nutraceutical supplements, Avazzia micro-current therapy, low-level-light laser, Acu-graph testing, modern blood tests, lab testing, and the regenerative therapies of Prolotherapy and Prolozone. My early training and view of medicine through a holistic and health minded model meshes beautifully with the more analytical and disease model of Western medicine.
I began my practice in the Orlando area in 1996, but have been practicing Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in the Melbourne, Florida area since 1998. While our office is in Indialantic, we are pleased to have patients from all of Brevard County, Melbourne, Palm Bay, Satellite Beach, Cocoa, Melbourne, Beach and Sebastion, Fl.
Our practice here can best be described as Functional Medicine- a new model of medicine which is a blending of alternative/holistic and Western medicine. The basic principles of Oriental Medicine are the cornerstone of Functional Medicine. this is that the body is an amazing creation with the ability to heal and to stay healthy, and that medicine is to be used to assist the body to return to a state of balance/homeostasis, or good function.
I consider myself to be blessed to be able to have a career that has the joy of helping people return to a state of health and function as the major goal.
